Sara Brown’s Guide to Brights

We’re frankly obsessed with Sara Brown’s style. She’s the ultimate maximalist and her way of wearing brights, prints and accessories is second to none, so we asked for her top tips on getting the Sara look…

Choose colours that make you happy, so when you’re wearing them you always have something to make you smile.

Be brave with print clashing! Try mixing your spots, stripes, florals and animal prints in one outfit.

Sara Brown Layering

Leopard print is a neutral. It’s such a classic that you can work it into your looks in the same way you might a Breton stripe top or a camel coat.

Go back to your school days and look to the colour wheel for inspiration when you want to colour block. Contrasting colours always look amazing: think blue and orange or lilac and lime.

Sara Brown Purple Dress

Introduce brighter pops of colour into your outfits with layering and accessories. I love a high neck neon lime t-shirt under a dress to make it feel new and exciting, or a pair of bright earrings to really elevate a look.

My final tip is don’t be scared by colour and don’t feel you need to stick to the ‘rules’. If you have always been told that yellow won’t work with your skin tone but you love yellow, I say just wear the yellow as it will make you happy, and everything goes with a bright, shining glow of happiness.
