Kiehl’s Glow Formula Skin Hydrator – Although I’m not really into primers, I do like to use something to bridge the gap between my skincare and my makeup, and this is perfect for the job. It gives me another dose of hydration which my dry skin badly needs, but also starts building that glowy finish that I look for in my makeup.

It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream – Because I have dry skin, I started out using the Illuminating version of this product, which I quite liked, but when I tried the original I was completely obsessed. It’s got the perfect amount of coverage, it wears really well and just makes my skin look so radiant. This is definitely my favourite base product on the market. I apply it with a duofibre stippling brush.

Nars Soft Matte Complete Concealer – I dab a little bit under my eyes with my ring finger, which used to be impossible because of my long fake nails and I had to use a brush. I’m enjoying being able to apply makeup with my hands now! This concealer just does the job really well and lasts all day.

Guerlain Terracotta Collector Ultra-Matte Bronzing Powder
– 2019 is my year of bronzer. I never wore bronzer at all before this year, but I decided to just go for it and thought I should start with a matte as it might look more natural. I got this on sale and am absolutely in love with it- the colour is so realistic and just gives me a really lovely sunkissed finish. I apply it with a big Real Techniques powder brush.

Glossier Cloud Paint – Fun fact: this is my favourite beauty product of all time. I don’t think a better blusher exists in the world, and the shades are just so pretty and wearable. I have five of the six shades that are currently available and love them all, especially Beam and Dawn. I always get asked what my blusher is when I wear Dawn, it’s just so glowy and fresh. This is another product I apply with a Real Techniques brush, and I just use their standard blusher brush.

Glossier Haloscope – When I first used this, I applied it straight from the tube onto my skin and hated it because it dragged off the makeup underneath. Now I warm it up with my body heat while I’m putting the rest of my makeup on and then rub it up and down against a finger, before pressing that against my cheekbone and then patting to blend out. This gives me the perfect finish and it’s such a beautiful product. The wet look sheen is especially amazing in the summer.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion – I can’t wear eyeshadow without this product, there’s just no point. It creates a perfect canvas for my eyeshadows and keeps them vibrant and crease-free all day. I stock up on this in Nordstrom Rack when I’m in the US as it’s much cheaper that way. I once ran out and couldn’t find my backup stash and asked for recommendations of alternatives and tried the most popular one, but couldn’t believe how ineffective it was.

Beauty Pie Wondercolour Longwear Cream Shadow Stick
– I have a lot of favourite eyeshadows and palettes, but if I just want a guaranteed easy look, I swipe this cream shadow stick onto my lid and blend outwards onto the crease. I have it in a few shades but am really liking Wild Violet at the moment.

Hourglass Caution Mascara – I know mascaras don’t need to be expensive, but it just happens that the two I’ve found to be the best and giving me that huge false lash effect are not particularly cheap. I alternate between this and the It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara, both of which are amazing.

Glossier Boy Brow – One swipe through my (admittedly thick and dark) eyebrows with this and I feel sufficiently groomed.

Too Faced Lip Injection Gloss – I used to wear liquid matte lipsticks every day, but my tastes have changed a lot and I’m really into gloss at the moment. I really like these Too Faced Lip Injections because they give a slightly tingling effect which makes your lips look a bit plumper. If I do want to wear a lipstick, the Fenty Mattemoiselles are the absolute best formula I’ve tried- they don’t feel super dry but they’re so opaque and full-coverage. I’m obsessed with the shades Freckle Fiesta and Candy Venom, and am especially in love with Freckle Fiesta because that burnt orange is such a hard shade to find.
